How to use this
1Set the first nightOpen the planner, pick a course and enter its first night. Every other date works itself out.
2Choose your preparationIn Preparation, tick what you’ll do this term. More flames means more mission heat.
3Run the nightsIn Presentation, mark who comes each week. This updates the dashboard and helps you track attendance and follow up.
4Follow upIn Preservation, lists are built from the roll for follow‑up, along with ways to preserve mission heat and fruit in the church community.
How it works
Mission heat
The vibe in the church around reaching people: how much people want their friends to meet Jesus, and how naturally they pray, talk and invite.
Flames rank how much an activity lifts that desire across the whole church, not how much work it is.
Mission heat fills the room. The course and follow‑up group do the harvesting.
Starting from nothing
Begin with the Bible and prayer: a mission‑shaped sermon, a growth group study, “three to pray for”.
Tell the leader’s own invitation story. One honest story beats a polished campaign.
After the first course you will have stories. Next time, multiply them.
Preparation · Plan, People, Promote
Four to six weeks, where church meets, at a time normal people can make.
A team, not a hero. Aim for one Christian per guest.
The congregation is the audience. Four weeks of “Who will you bring?”
Presentation · Pathos, Proclaim, Partner
Warm door, hosts early, no guest left alone.
A clear gospel with a steady line of sight to the cross.
Same hosts, same tables. Cut Q&A before you cut table chat.
Preservation · People work, Post‑mortem, Prepare
Follow‑up starts the very next week, same time and place.
Call every Christian who brought a friend.
Debrief, pray for each guest by name, set the next dates.
Follow‑up year
Term 1 Mark · Term 2 Just for Starters · Term 3 John · Term 4 Philippians.
Six months minimum, twelve ideal. Graduate people warmly into growth groups.
How words are used
Discover
The five‑week course we run: the meaning of life, who Jesus is, why he died, whether he rose, what it means to follow him.
Enquirer
A guest exploring Jesus who isn’t a Christian yet.
Host
A team member who sits at a table with guests, listens and keeps the conversation warm. Same table each week.
MC
The person who welcomes everyone, runs the timing and sets a relaxed tone.
Bringvitation
Inviting a friend and coming with them, rather than just telling them about it. Most guests come this way.
Bring‑a‑Mate Sunday
A Sunday where everyone is encouraged to bring a friend. Good practice for inviting to the course.
Legacy event
Something the church already runs, like Carols or a community dinner. Use it to hand out course invitations.
Mission study
A short growth group study on why we share Jesus, run before the course promotion starts.
“Three to pray for”
Each member names three people they know and prays for them by name, then invites one.
Swedish method
A simple Bible reading method: mark what stands out, what you don’t understand, and what to apply.
Just for Starters
A short study series on Christian basics: grace, repentance, assurance, prayer, church.
Growth group
The church’s regular small groups. People graduate into these from the follow‑up group.
